we set out to rethink not just what we make, but how and where we make it. that ambition came to life in our South Side Soapbox, a facility designed from the ground up with more responsible production, environmental impact, and our surrounding Chicago community in mind.

LEED-ing the way

to push our circular economy ambitions further, we built our South Side Soap Box to be LEED-Platinum Certified. it's designed to use less energy and reduce its carbon impact. onsite wind and solar help cut our reliance on non-renewable energy by more than 50%.

TRUE Zero Waste Certified

we maintain and implement a Waste Diversion Program, certified through TRUE Green Business Certification, Inc. (GCBI). each year, we audit the waste we generate to uncover new opportunities, improve how materials are managed, and keep pushing toward less waste.

built for the community

we prioritize hiring from the five surrounding zip codes and support continued development in Pullman. we partner with local nonprofits, schools, and community organizations for South Side residents.
